Novem is a collection of Kutani-yaki porcelain, originating from Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan. Unlike traditional Kutani style porcelain, which is known for its vivid colors and elaborate overglaze, Novem has created a minimalist style that only features a delicate rust-glaze on the edges.

History:
Kutani ware originated as the official kiln of the Maeda Clan in the early Edo period, in the 17th century, and has a history spanning 300 years. Among them, those produced in the first 40 years are called “Ko-Kutani” (old Kutani). These ceramics, were highly valued for their seven-color glaze, incorporating yellow, purple, navy, red, and green, along with underglaze and a rusted edge. It is produced in the city of Kaga, Ishikawa Prefecture.
