History: 
Montbell Co. Ltd. was established in Osaka, Japan in 1975. Founder Isamu Tatsuno is an avid climber and outdoor explorer. Along with founding Montbell, he also opened the first rock climbing school in Japan. His original line of outdoor gear was focused around the rainy climate of Japan, and each product focuses on the company’s “Light & Fast” mission. Each product is multifunctional and designed to be used in extreme conditions.
