Ceramic Japan Infinity Mugs

Description:
These ceramic mugs were designed by Makoto Komatsu in 1984. Their wave-like curve and irresistible smoothness that evoke the infinity of a circle. The curved lip and single finger handle contribute to a comfortable drinking experience.

Variation:
Available in black or white. Ceramic is a natural material that will patina over time. This patina may appear as discoloration and darkening from food contact, or it may also appear as ceramic crazing, which are small cracks that start to develop over time from hot liquids.

History: 
The Infinity Mugs were designed in 1984 by Makoto Komatsu, whose works have been collected by museums like MoMA, V&A and the National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo. The line evokes the circle, an endless loop symbolizing infinity. The bowls are manufactured in Seto, Japan by Ceramic Japan, which has been in business since 1973. Known for collaborating with top level artists and designers, Ceramic Japan pairs high artistic quality with traditional ceramic techniques.
