From the French designer Flavian Delbergue, this sake set is named “Ryote”, meaning “both hands” in Japanese, to express gratitude for the blessings of nature from which sake is made. Drinking from the Ryote cup simulates the motion of cupping spring water with both hands and evokes the ceremonial tradition of drinking sake. The name “both hands” also recognizes the hands of the craftsmen by which each piece is made with.
