Koushungama Tea (Matcha) Bowls

Description:
With tall walls and a narrow center, these bowls are perfect for whisking your morning matcha. The white matcha bowl has an uneven, painterly glaze that creates a unique and transparent texture. Its glazed ridges will direct your matcha back to the center as you whisk. The black matcha bowl has been scored to create a striped outer texture. Its shiny black glaze gives this piece a traditional appearance.

Variation:
Each of these bowls is ceramic and may have significant variation between the color and texture of the glaze. The bowl pictured may not be the exact bowl you receive.

History: 
Made by Koushungama, a ceramic studio in Nagasaki known for their sharp colors and translucent designs.

Care Instructions:
Handwash only. Do not place in the microwave or dishwasher.

 

Returns must be made within 2 weeks in original, unused condition with all packaging for either 1. Store credit for the full amount or 2. Refund – minus a 20% restocking fee.  Tortoise does not cover the cost of return shipping or the cost of re-shipping an exchange, and the cost of shipping for returns and exchanges is the responsibility of the customer.
